Client meeting

Here is my project.
We have finished our project quite early, however we have improved our project quite alot. It might seem like a very simple and easy thing to do. It was easy but it was very frustrating to go through the complicated steps because pages I think pages is not such a good software for making projects and I found it pretty hard because the picture would move out of its place or the text would split in have or the background picture would move, it was a mess!! However we wroked together and experimented many different things to recover. I think our project is very eyecatching and colorful and i really think it will do well. We have two posters exactly the same but one with more text. This one was more an introduction to bullying than just saying statements like we did in our second poster. Also we changed the fonts which i think we did great. Well overall i thought this was a great project and i hope you use our project.

Evaluation

I have worked on a bullying poster and i think I'm finished. I think i we didn't need as much time as we needed and Pascal has helped me when i needed help. He was very useful in helping to find things and when i wanted a little rest we would swap. So thank you.

For the investigation i dont think it was to hard to find things, because we had the websites already given to us by the teacher. They came in very handy, because they had lots of information, games pictures and examples.
I don't think the design was that hard, because we made a little research on the internet on what bullying posters look like. I think we did good research, however we ended up with to much text on our original poster so we shaved some of. But still we had to much so we left that poster as bullying introduction and we made one exactly the same but with like 4 or 5 sentences. That poster was very similar to the ones we found on the internet.

-I think we worked well and fast on our poster.
-We found lots of good examples of posters to make ours good with lots of pictures.
-I think we can improve our writing, like what we have wrote on the poster.
-Next time i will get more pictures and spread them out more to make it more interesting.
- I think our plan is the same to our original poster, however we had to change all the text so overall it was exactly the same just with less text. Also that background picture was a different idea, in other words it wasn't in our plan.
-We had many difficulties on adding effects on the pictures and making them go behind the poster, that was a lot of trouble and very frustrating, but in the end i found how to put the pictures behind text by messing around with the picture. Like right clicking, inspector etc.
-I didn't get much feedback from my class because they haven't commented on my page, just like 2 comments. We tried to make a server on survey monkey, but there was no option to put a picture of our poster so people around the world could comment on it. So that let us down LOT.

It made me realize that bullying is a very important matter for kids and teenager, so now and then when i see someone bullying someone i will definately stop it. Trust me i've read to many bad things about bullying and i think other people would do this too.
I think it will help the society a lot because less kids will have less problems to deal with.

I have done a bullying poster with the help of Pascal. I think my poster has to much text and not enough pictures. So i made a new one similar to the first one but with less text. The reason why i put text on was because i wanted to give the person an idea about what bullying is. PLEASE comment on what poster is better.

Softwares

I have made my poster with pages, Pages is a system like Microsoft word, but it is for Mac.
The system is not that easy to manage for me and has many tools such as Adding charts, changing fonts, size, etc.
I have a video to show about PAGES.

The disadvantages about this software is that if you are not used to it, it will be kind of hard to use. Because it is not exactly the same to Microsoft word.

Our poster questions

Our project is about making a poster about Anti-bullying POSTER. It is an easy and straight forward job. Because all research on bullying and make it into a poster. Then all we have to dois collect pictures and put the poster together, so it looks a bit like this:

Bullying

Bullying is a problem that is all over the world, mostly in kids life. Bullying is when a kid beats up, takes money and annoy other kids. This is tough for some kids and can cause many problems in their life, like depression. This problem is solved by counseling, which is sort of like Psychologist but in school.

Finishing my iweb

I have completely finished my iweb, although i have changed some of my pages let me show you them.



They are little changes like rotating pictures, adding pictures and more words.


1.How well does your product work? Does it do everything that you said it would do and does it do it well?
Yes my project worked well and everything i said i put on. Some things were according to the plan.

2.How well did you work at each stage of the design cycle?
I don't think i worked very well on it but i respected it.

3. For the investigation it took me a while to understand how i could do my investigation. Like what do i do, do i just investigate about earthquakes or every kind of disaster.

I think design was very easy because all i had to do was sketch it and then just follow it, although i didn't really follow it that much. However i think everyone has there little changes every now and then.

Like i said the plan was just a sketch of the design of how i was going to do it and then try to follow it as much as i can.

Create was the part were i think i had to work hardest, because i had to look for lots and lots of information, which to be honest... there wasn't much.

Major assessment -client meting

In class i have made a web page with i web. I have finished it and i have put six pages in it. My work was excellent to me, because it has basic information about earthquakes and how it works with pictures and videos. Obviously i could make the web much better on design, how ever I have done this myself with no help and if i had a bit of help i could of done much better. I didn't stick to my design as much as i thought i would although it is similar to it to the original one although it is basic. To make this page i think it took me about 7-8 hours of hard work! Overall i think i did incredibly well on this page.

In class i have searched for information like how earthquakes happen, facts about them, tools that are used in earthquakes, pictures, videos, other natural disasters and recent earthquakes that happen around the world. I have searched in website like google and wikipedia. They are not many website but they have lots of information in the,, plus the website that i found on google could of been 3 or 4.

I haven't used much multimedia in this project because i wanted to keep my web page simple with enough information to make it understandable. My web color is black, the multimedia i used is youtube and some pictures i found on the internet. My idea was to keep it simple.

Everything worked great with the apple systems i had no problems at all, except the links were working and right now they are not working.

I have to admit that i have no emergency plan and no references except Google and Wikipedia. This is because i lost my delicious password and when i recovered it, it turned out to be the account from last year and i dont have this years work.

1. By using Microsoft word, Microsoft publisher etc. With this we can post online pictures messages and other information. Kind of 

an online newspaper.

2. Skype, Face book, YouTube and my space. This are different ways you can communicate by the internet. You can also go on the internet with mobile phones if you need information.

3. By providing you information to prepare for the disaster. Very importantly when they estimate the disaster will come if it expected, therefore you have a everything prepared and ready for the disaster.

1. Communication is important during an emergency, because if we communicate we share ideas, we all co-operate and work as a team.

2. The internet, and other

 different ways of communicating. But focusing more on internet they used sources like e-mail, facebook , youtube and phone systems like skyp

e. Youtube just shows you videos but you can also

 see videos which have surviving skills. Apart from the internet you can use a TV to watch the news, mobile phones to call poeple and walky talkies.

3. Information like where and when the the tornado, hurricane, earthquake will strike. Therefore we can all share ideas and  think about were you are going to go and what to do nex

t.

4. Before the emergency we need to get information of where and when the the disaster is going to strike. Hopefully we would all be prepeared for the disaster. For example, if you are some kind of fire fighter or life rescuing person and there was a huge wreck and you had to help people, you would tell them to stay in a specific place ,or communicate with your team and victims to find the injured people.

5.  You need a software with enough hardware to go on, 21st centuary technology or late 1990s to go on the internet.
